- An affinity group may be something that you can gravitate towards that is connected to identity
- Provides a place for black students to convene and relate over similar lived experiences, in Haverford and outside
- A unique environment where black students feel comfortable to say what’s on their mind
- In Haverford’s predominantly white environment, black students can feel silenced or erased
- Sponsors and organizes events
- Poetry and Spoken Word nights give a creative outlet to express oneself
